Rihanna 'reached out' to RHOSLC star Mary Cosby after her son admitted to drug use in emotional episode

Mary Cosby revealed that Rihanna personally reached out after her son Robert Jr. admitted to drug use in an emotional RHOSLC episode that aired late last year in November. The TV personality, 52, learned that her son, 21, had been using drugs since he was 16 in a raw moment, and he also told his mother that she was the only reason he didn't kill himself.
During a recent interview with Vulture, Cosby reflected on the episode and how her castmates also got in touch after the episode premiered. 'I heard from all of [the cast] - I even heard from Britani [Bateman]. Lisa [Barlow] was the only one that didn't reach out, and that's why I said I felt she's kind of the person that is a little bit happy when other people are going through something.'.
'But everyone else and even other Housewives reached out to me. Even Rihanna reached out to me!' the reality star continued. Mary further told the outlet, 'I was happy I did it after I received the way the people accepted it and loved it.'. Mary Cosby, 52, revealed that Rihanna, 36, personally reached out after her son Robert Jr. admitted to drug use in an emotional RHOSLC episode that aired late last year in November; seen in December 2024 in NYC.
The RHOSLC star also shared that the Grammy winner had reached out to her on other occasions as well. 'She reached out to us when the show aired and told us she loved us,' Cosby expressed. 'And then on Christmas Day, she said, "Merry Christmas, and I love you and Robert Jr." I feel like if you can reach people of that caliber, you're doing something right, you know what I mean?'.
