Experts suggest that a musty scent could indicate a leak in the bathroom, while a smell resembling rotting vegetables might point to mould growth.
"Signs of a more threatening presence lurking in the bathroom include the smell of rotten eggs, which could mean harmful bacteria is growing in the water systems.".
He continued: "A lingering musty smell could also mean there is a hidden leak somewhere which could be increasing water bill prices.
