Leroy Sane is the subject of interest from Galatasaray - which could force Manchester United into acting. The Bayern Munich winger's future in Germany remains unclear and the Turkish champions are looking to make an ambitious attempt to bring him to Istanbul. Galatasaray have set a meeting so that they can discuss the prospect of signing the winger, reports Fotomac.
United themselves have been linked with the 28-year-old, who has previously played at nearby Manchester City, where he won two Premier League titles. Ruben Amorim is looking to improve his squad in nearly every department and Sane could add some much needed attacking flair down the flanks. In every season he's been at Bayern, he's hit double figures for goals and his pace would be a huge asset, particularly in a 3-4-3.
The Old Trafford outfit are working with limited funds, which could hamper their January business, but Sane's contract is winding down which could allow clubs to sign him on the cheap with the German by no means a regular starter. Sane claims he's has had "very good and trusting" talks with Vincent Kompany and several of the leading lights at the club, including sporting director Christoph Freund. He told Bild: "That's why my thoughts are really only with Bayern at the moment. We'll see about everything else in the next week and months.
“I feel good at the club and in the dressing room. What counts for me is that I'm an important part of Bayern's plans and I want to confirm that role.”. Some reports claim the ex-City man would have to take a pay cut if he wants to remain at the Allianz Arena, but Sane insists money is not his immediate priority and he instead wants to focus on other things, including the potential to win the Champions League.
