Sabrina Carpenter excited for UK tour because she loves sweary Brits

Sabrina Carpenter asks Brits to Please Please Please swear, as the superstar singer reveals she’s a huge fan of our curse words. She admits to being impressed by our use of the less the savoury vocabulary - and the “civilised” way we deliver such insults. The global phenomenon will be travelling over the Atlantic as part of her tour this year and can’t contain her excitement. “I can’t wait,” she says.
“The British have such inventive words to insult each other - I first heard w***er on the streets of London. Even when the British are cussing each other - they still sound so civilised doing it.”. Espresso helped make Sabrina, 24, the flavour of 2024. Even Adele was a fan - and Sabrina went wild. “She is so cool - she only has one name,” said Sabrina. “When I saw the video earlier this year go viral of her saying she was in bed singing “Espresso” I was genuinely star struck. In my warped mind I translated that as Adele thinks about me in bed.”.
It’s been a record breaking 12 months for Sabrina. She made history as the woman with the most weeks at Number 1 in a single year ever on the Official Singles Chart with hits Espresso, Please Please Please and Taste. Her album Short n’ Sweet topped the charts too. She says her friends have helped keep her feet on the ground and support her during her meteoric rise.
“It’s been a totally crazy 24 - but I am so blessed to have good friends around me,” she said. “If I text them and am like I am feeling down they will reply and be like ‘hey, let’s learn this Tik Tok dance’. Those are the sort of people you need in your life! I think it’s important to remember if people are saying horrible s**t about you online or on social media - that they are a lot unhappier with their lives than you are.”.
