The Swinging Sixties poster girl's death was confirmed by her spokesperson in a statement which read: 'It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of the singer, songwriter and actress Marianne Faithfull.
Marianne started her musical journey in 1964, recording 'As Tears Go By', a song penned by Rolling Stones stars Mick, Keith Richards, and their manager Andrew Loog Oldham.
