Sex and the City fans were overjoyed when spin-off series And Just Like That.. launched in 2021 and now the ladies will be back for a third season of the hit show. This time around Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes) and Charlotte York Goldenbatt (Kristin Davis) will be joined by some new faces.

Broadway legend Patti LuPone is joining the cast for the third season, although details about her character have yet to be revealed. Executive producer Michael Patrick King confirmed the news by telling Entertainment Weekly that Patti will have "an arc on our show this season".

He also confirmed that Kathy (Rosemarie Dewitt), the ex-wife of Aidan (John Corbett) will have a larger role. Michael told the aforementioned publication: "It’s a lot of ‘new’ within the familiar, but even the familiar characters are going through new things.

"It’s more than Carrie [Sarah Jessica Parker] that has a new apartment. Miranda [Cynthia Nixon] has a new apartment. "We feel that there’s a lot of newness in the world right now, especially for these characters. We wanted to tell new stories and put them through new obstacles.".

It was previously announced that Mehcad Brooks, Rosie O'Donnell, Cheri Oteri, Jonathan Cake and Logan Marshall-Green will also be a part of the cast. Sara Ramirez, who played Che Diaz, and Nya Wallis actress Karen Pittman will not be coming back. Set 11 years after the events of Sex and the City 2, the women transition from liberation and friendship in their 30s to a more complicated life in their 50s.
