BROWN has been giving burgundy a run for its money as the colour of the season this winter. From slouchy suede bags and trainers to coats and chunky jumpers, fashion fans have been loving the chocolate tones. And now, shoppers are racing to bag a figure-hugging Quiz dress in the trendy hue.

The £36.99 midi frock is available in sizes six to 20 and also comes in petite. It boasts a mesh finish, round neckline and flattering ruched detailing, as well as a flirty leg split. And it looks on all shapes and sizes too - with size eight and 18 models both trying it on in a recent Instagram video.

Alongside the social media clip, Quiz bosses said: "The colour of the season: Brown. "Our Brown Mesh Long Sleeve Midaxi Dress is a wardrobe staple!". Fashionistas seem to be in full agreement, as one gushed: "Love this.". A second wrote: "The most stunning dress.".

Meanwhile, a third echoed: "Love.". Despite ticking all the boxes with their new dress arrival, Quiz is on the brink of collapse. The high street retailer, founded in Glasgow, is set to call in administrators just days after its shares were removed from the London Stock Exchange.

The fashion giant - which has 17 Scottish outlets - has struggled in recent years, and is expected to appoint Teneo as early as next week, Sky News reports. Quiz currently employs approximately 1,500 people across its 62 standalone stores and 47 concessions across the UK.
