Silent Witness had viewers gripping their seats in shock, with its nail-biter of a two-parter reaching an electrifying finale. The much-loved BBC forensic series had audiences teetering on the brink as they scrambled to piece together who was responsible for a spate of murders linked to figures around Thamesmead Council housing.

After the chaos of Monday's grisly slayings, Tuesday (January 14) ramped up the tension with another hammer horror, propelling the Lyell crew deep into a web of local government blackmail conspiracies. Yet as Superintendent Jane De Freitas closed ranks on leading suspect Claire, the tables turned dramatically, leaving fans gobsmacked as Tina, her sister, was revealed as the brains behind the brutal attacks.

Social media once familiar as Twitter lit up as one savvy detective-at-home declared ahead of the final curtain: "Without even watching the 2nd part, my non-expert opinion is that the sister is the killer," reports Plymouth Live. Other armchair sleuths chimed in, with comments like: "Her sister as we thought," and someone else exclaiming: "IT'S HER SISTER WHAT.".

To sum it up, the first episode opened with a real estate agent's life ending under a hammer, setting off a domino effect of killings all tied back to the Thamesmead Housing Association. On top of this, viewers were looped into Claire's world, who's dealing with a recently diagnosed tumour inflicted by asbestos in her residence.
