PRIMARK has really upped their game with the beauty range over the past few years, with dupes aplenty and skincare to rival even the most expensive brands. But the latest item to hit the shelves from the budget-friendly shop has left skincare fans amazed.

Shoppers were amazed to find the high-tech item after it was shared on Instagram by the popular account @welovethehighstreet. Alongside a video showing off the mask, the post said: "Girls RUN to Primark immediately!!. "You have all gone crazy over this so here's a longer reel showing all the colours!! £18 is WILD!!".

The clip shows the LED lights can be changed to red, blue, or green, depending on your skin needs. One beauty fan commented on the viral video: "I need this!!". And a second agreed: "I hope my Primark has them in because I've wanted one for ages!". But not everyone was convinced the bargain mask would really help with skin issues.

"Unless it's a proper one with proper lights and the serum that comes with it I can't see it being any good. "My sister paid good money for her one and it doesn't change colours like a kids toy," one person wrote. You might've seen influencers donning the space age-looking masks on social media and wondered what they actually do.

Well, they are clinically proven to aid with some skin concerns, although results will vary depending on how powerful the mask is. “There’s a lot of scams out there…most of the time, energies are very, very low,” Glynis Ablon, a dermatologist and associate clinical professor at UCLA, told National Geographic.
