Steam Winter Sale 2024 starts at 6pm UK Time / 1pm ET / 10am PT today, December 19, 2024, and here’s what’s on PC gamers’ wishlist for the sale. Players who have already finished Baldur’s Gate 3 once (or twice), are already looking for similar titles to scratch that CRPG itch.

Larian Studios’ previous games, like Divinity: Original Sin and its sequel, are perfect replacements for BG3, and fans are hoping to get them for cheap. Baldur’s Gate 3 itself is still high on many people’s wishlists, as players are waiting for deeper discounts than the 20% off we’ve seen during previous sales.

Redditor "MrNigel117" is looking for games giving off indie vibes, like boss rush bullet-hell Void Rains Upon Her Heart, and branching narrative gem Slay the Princess. He would also appreciate challenging metroidvania Nine Sols and action RPG Atlyss. Apart from smaller games, other big-name titles from the last few years, like Hogwarts Legacy, God of War Ragnarök, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, and Elden Ring, rank high on people’s wishlists.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is also mentioned frequently, as players are keen on playing the first part of the remake trilogy ahead of FF7 Rebirth’s PC release in January. A lot of gamers would be happy to pick up any good game, if it is discounted by more than 75% or even 90% of its regular price.
