Under fire Wynne Evans moved to put distance between himself and the latest Strictly Come Dancing scandal by uploading a video with Janette Manrara. The show's stars are said to be furious after he made crued sexual remarks, the opera star was caught on camera at an event during the tour's launch in Birmingham using derogatory language. He has now also been reprimanded by BBC bosses for his actions before he made a public apology.

The Welsh star was recorded making an inappropriate sexual comment to Janette when she walked over to a group of the 2024 series' stars. He sang out: "Go Compare," before adding: "Not too close to Jamie." He then used the hugely demeaning term "spit roast" in reference to a lewd sexual act.

In a statement, Evans told the Mirror: "My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise." An insider said he was 'hauled over the coals' and given a 'proper dressing-down' by the BBC bosses. He is clearly trying to move on, and took to Instagram to show off a clip of them on stage. He shared the stage video, which was captioned 'amazing' as he held the mic. He is refusing to keep a low profile despite the fall out to the 52-year-old's remarks as the group prepared for a photo on stage.

The BBC presenter did not dance during Saturday's show in Glasgow, Scotland, after pulling out due to an ankle injury. But he did sing after his comments caused outrage with his Strictly co-stars. Wynne, who also himself at the centre of drama after a "vulgar" joke he reportedly made behind-the-scenes was "leaked", recently pulled out of the Strictly tour's stint in Scotland due to injury.
