Opera singer-turned-presenter Wynne Evans is said to have left Strictly Come Dancing star Aljaž Škorjanec raging after making sexual remarks about his wife Janette Manrara. The Welshman was caught on camera at an event during the tour's launch in Birmingham using derogatory language that appeared to make others uncomfortable. He has now also been reprimanded by BBC bosses for his actions but the matter left Aljaž "furious".

Evans was recorded making an inappropriate sexual comment to Janette when she walked over to a group of the 2024 series' stars. He sang out: "Go Compare," before adding: "Not too close to Jamie." He then used the hugely demeaning term "spit roast" in reference to a lewd sexual act. In a statement, Evans told the Mirror: "My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.".

Wynne, also himself at the centre of drama after a "vulgar" joke he reportedly made behind-the-scenes was "leaked", recently pulled out of the Strictly tour's stint in Glasgow due to an ankle injury. But it has now been claimed Aljaž certainly didn't see the funny side of the comment.

"Wynne was hauled over the coals for his unacceptable language and was told in no uncertain terms that it would not be tolerated and this was his final warning. It was a proper dressing-down," an insider told MailOnline. "Wynne also gave a grovelling apology to Janette and her furious husband, Aljaz.".
