KEEPING the bathroom spotless can feel like an endless task, but knowing a few clever hacks can make all the difference. One savvy cleaning enthusiast, Kerry Whelpdale, has shared a simple, budget-friendly trick to keep your shower screen streak-free - no cleaning products required.
In a TikTok video, Kerry revealed her go-to hack: baking paper, which costs 99p on eBay, and demonstrated how it works. Kerry explained that if you “thoroughly wipe baking paper on your glass shower screen,” then “water will simply run off your glass, leaving no water marks.”.
In the video she demonstrated exactly how she did it. Kerry first started off by tearing away a square from the roll of baking paper, before then scrunching it up. She then went to her shower glass and started using the scrunched-up paper to wipe the screen down.
This creates a protective film on her screen, which means that water simply runs straight off it without leaving any streak marks. In the caption section of the video, she also said: “A hack that just keeps on giving shower after shower. “Make sure your baking paper has silicone in it, which gives your shower a non-stick coating. Make sure you wipe with the shiny side.”.
Her video gained lots of attention, with many rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts. “That’s genius,” one expressed. “Gonna try this for sure. Hope it works,” another eagerly said. A third added: “Blimey brilliant.”. Whilst someone else who has tested it out themselves commented: “It works like a dream.”.
