WANT to spruce up your home but don't know where to begin?. Interiors expert and former estate agent Laura Rich from the online store Furniturebox has revealed the eight hottest trends - and they could add thousands to the value of your home. From rich and bold colours to sustainable choices, 2025 is all about making a statement.

Be prepared for rich and earthy tones, combining textures and patterns and embracing eco-design that blurs indoors and outdoor living. Say goodbye to muted tones and hello to sumptuous hues. Colours will be darker and bolder this year. Think suede browns, deep emerald greens, dusky blues, striking rich burgundies and oxblood reds.

These colours can be used to create focal points in your rooms - whether it's a feature wall, a statement piece of furniture, or even bold accessories. Don't be afraid to mix and match – the bolder, the better!. Curves were big in 2024 and they’re here to stay as a great way to soften the edges of your interiors.

This trend embraces rounded furniture, arched doorways, and circular décor elements. Curved sofas, round coffee tables, and even circular mirrors can add a touch of elegance and fluidity to your space. It's all about creating a harmonious and inviting environment.

Bringing the outdoors in is a trend that continues to gain momentum. Large windows, indoor plants, and natural materials like wood and stone help create a connection with nature. Consider adding a cosy outdoor seating area that feels like an extension of your living room, or bringing some outdoor furniture into your conservatory, sun room or kitchen for a relaxed feel.
