I always loved acting when I was a kid, and then I just kind of assumed, you know, nobody actually makes a career out of acting - I’m here surrounded by people who make a career out of acting!
Considering the draw of her name after so many successive shows, Anne has now lost any sense of imposter syndrome she may have had as a performer: “It’s nice when I turn up and we start rehearsals and everyone’s like, ‘Oh, you actually know what you’re doing!’ and I’m like, ‘Well apart from the fact that I can’t dance, I know what I’m doing!’” she joked.
While known for her incredible brain on the ITV show, Anne, 66, is also a talented performer, and revealed that her acting career could soon be taking a major step forward.
Last year, Anne mentioned acting while speaking to the Mirror about her adult diagnosis with autism, and described learning to deal with the challenges of juggling her busy life.
“I’d love to do more acting!” she enthused, adding: “Last year I was part of a little short comedy film called Exorcising Barry.
