With the new Harry Potter TV series planning well underway, rumours have been swirling on who will be cast as the main characters. However, with worldwide fame often comes fortune and the acting unknowns-for-now could soon be catapulted into the world of mega millions and lavish lifestyles.
Whilst the main characters from all eight wizarding movies have gone on to make great successes of their lives, careers and bank balances, there are some unsuspecting ones who haven't faired quite so well with bailiffs at the door, rehab stints and far less financial gains than some might expect - with one earning a measly £2.91 an hour.

Starring as the boy wizard himself in all eight movies, Daniel was reportedly paid £1 million for the first movie when he was just 12 and had made £37.5 million by the final two - then the royalties started rolling in. He has now accumulated a fortune of more than £96 million, securing a coveted spot in 29th place on the Sunday Times 40 Under 40 Rich List.
Whilst nothing has been as notably blockbusting since his role as Harry Potter, Daniel has continued in the acting field, starring in horror The Woman in Black and will soon appear in Batso alongside Ethan Hawke. Daniel's true wealth lies in his savvy business and financial decisions, which are away from the spotlight. The Fulham-born actor holds most of his money in Gilmore Jacobs Limited - a business set up by his parents in 2000 which invests in property and theatre companies.
