The Traitors star Jake Brown has appeared to rubbish allegations of a rift in his marriage after appearing on the BBC reality show. It was claimed that Jake, 28, who won the programme this year with fellow Faithful Leanne Quigley, 29, suffered a ‘rocky patch’ with his wife Shannon. A source alleged Shannon, 27, confronted Jake after becoming ‘unhappy’ when he grew close to a female colleague he bonded with at a Christmas party.

However, a spokesperson for Jake told the Mail Online: ‘Jake’s marriage is the most important thing to him. He and Shannon have been together ten years and are very happy.’. Metro has also reached out to his reps for comment. This morning, Jake also reposted a picture of himself looking loved-up at dinner with Shannon shared by his Traitors co-star Leon Jackman, 40. Jake was said to have been devastated to have caused Shannon upset over his new pal and ended the friendship. A source told The Sun: ‘Jake ­reassured Shannon he and the ­colleague were just friends and that there wasn’t anything more to it. He and Shannon have been together since teenagers and are very much in love. ‘Jake didn’t want to ruin things so called off his friendship with the girl out of respect for his wife.’.

Jake, a project manager, spoke to Metro after winning The Traitors and said his aim on the show was to raise awareness of cerebral palsy. He told us: ‘I was born with cerebral palsy, which affects my right arm and right leg. It’s been a struggle growing up, knowing that I’m not the same as everybody else. Jake continued: ‘I wanted to go on and spread awareness, but to do it in my own way. I didn’t want it to be in people’s faces, I wanted to be myself and just let people see the real Jake and then just naturally bring it into conversation as and when I thought was necessary.

‘So it’s quite nice how authentic it came across, just in a mission with Alexander, and the comments have been so nice. I had some lovely messages, and it’s from people with disabilities themselves, or they’ll have a family member, maybe a son or daughter.’. Jake also praised his support system, including Shannon, and said he would be using the prize fund to whisk her away on a lavish holiday.

He said: ‘The first thing I’ll do is take my wife on holiday, she’s been like my rock. She’s so proud of me, and she’s given me confidence to be who I am today, so to give something back would be really nice. ‘And then obviously I mentioned on the show with my disability, to kind of show my mum and dad some appreciation of everything they’ve done for me over the years. So it’d be nice to give something back to them as well.’.
