Tottenham hold talks with PSG over striker transfer after completing first January deal

Tottenham have explored the financial conditions of a potential January swoop for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani. The France international striker is free to leave the Ligue 1 giants this month after being told he is no longer part of Luis Enrique's plans at the Parc des Princes.
There is vast interest from both the Premier League and Europe with Italian giants Juventus currently understood to be leading the charge for the player's signature. However, Spurs are also attentive to Kolo Muani's availability and would be interested in pursuing an initial loan move, providing they can make the numbers work. They have already held initial talks with PSG to gather information but any deal would require them to pay a significant percentage of the Frenchman's wages, which are understood to be worth upwards of £160,000 per week.
An additional sticking point is that PSG are insisting on an obligation to buy clause as they want to recoup a large chunk of the £76.4million fee (including add-ons) they shelled out to Eintracht Frankfurt for the forward's signature in September 2023.
It's believed PSG are looking for at least £50million plus a potential loan fee in order to strike a total agreement though they're open to negotiation on that figure, which suitors will be reluctant to match given the desperation to sell. Tottenham, who are open to strengthening their forward line and also have other striker targets on their radar, have cash to spend and are under no financial constraints this month as Ange Postecoglou bids to revive his side's turbulent season.
