Yin from The Traitor has revealed in a new interview that she had an impressive game plan for her stint on the show. The BBC series returned on Wednesday night as the traitors and faithful were selected and the contestants were challenged with duping the high-stakes game of manipulation.
Unfortunately for Yin, she was the first contestant to be killed off as the traitors deemed the clever communications scientist a threat to their plot. In a new interview with PA, the 34-year-old revealed that it was a ‘massive shock’ to learn that she had been selected by the traitors.
‘I had done my very best to not reveal many fundamental aspects of myself that would be a bit threatening, so for example my qualifications, my doctor of communication status, that PhD – didn’t say a single thing even remotely close to that to anybody in the castle or on the train,’ she said explaining that she tried to fly under the radar.
She then revealed she had a clever strategy involving a pink cardigan that may have helped her if she had been able to stay in the competition longer. ‘I packed 50 kilograms of clothing and accessories, and I did have a number of pieces that would further help reduce my potential threatening demeanour’, she explained.
She then revealed she planned to literally wear her heart on her sleeve in order to convince fans of her faithfulness.
