It's finally here, deadline day of the winter transfer window!. We're calling it that, of course, because it's no longer January, with the deadline extended this year all the way to February 3rd. Predictably, though, clubs are still scrambling for last-minute deals, and some are making very good progress. Mathys Tel looked destined to stay at Bayern Munich when negotiations with Manchester United broke down on Sunday, but Spurs have now revived their push for the Frenchman. Tel is on his way to London for a medical, having seemingly U-turned on his earlier rejection of Ange Postecoglou's side.
Manchester City have been the window's big-spenders, bringing in more than £100million worth of new recruits, but they might not be done. Nico Gonzalez's move from Porto looks like a goer, with the Spaniard due to set them back around £50m. Another team to get some deadline day business done is West Ham. Graham Potter's team take on Chelsea on Monday night but they've been busy behind the scenes, recalling James Ward-Prowse from his Nottingham Forest loan and completing a loan deal of their own with Evan Ferguson joining from Brighton.
At Manchester United, they want a replacement for Marcus Rashford, whose loan move to Aston Villa has been confirmed, with Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku on their shortlist. Ruben Amorim could've done with Rashford's talents yesterday during their abject 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. That's given Arsenal the opportunity to sign him, although the Gunners' need for a striker might be less pressing in light of their stunning 5-1 win against Manchester City. Elsewhere in the Premier League, David Moyes prepares to add Carlos Alcaraz - no, not the tennis player - to his Everton squad, while Wolves could be in for a busy evening with a potential Conor Coady return on the cards.

Rayan Cherki has been linked with a winter move away from Lyon, but Sky Sport Deutschland reports that the playmaker will stay at Lyon. Youngster Cherki had been targeted by Borussia Dortmund, while a number of Premier League clubs were linked with a move if he became available. Dortmund are close to a loan deal for Chelsea's Carney Chukwuemeka, but a move for Cherki may have to wait.
Leicester have reportedly rebuffed an offer frum Sunderland for winger Kasey McAteer. According to The Athletic, the Black Cats have tabled a loan bid for the winger, with an obligation to buy for £8million. While Leicester have turned that down, Sunderland are apparently expected to table a fresh bid. Nico Gonzalez is understood to be undergoing a medical ahead of his move to Manchester City from Porto.
Negotiations are ongoing between City and Porto over a deal worth up to £50million for the midfielder, with add-ons taking the potential final fee up to that figure. With Rodri still out after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in September, City have moved to bolster their midfield to improve their chances of securing a top-four spot in the Premier League and progressing in the Champions League.
ESPN suggest Chelsea haven't given up entirely on Alejandro Garnacho. Questions remain over Manchester United's deadline day business amid PSR concerns, despite Ruben Amorim appearing to be a fan of the Argentina international. Might the late progress on Joao Felix help free up space in the squad for a last-minute move?. Andre Silva was linked with West Ham earlier in the window, but the RB Leipzig striker has instead joined Werder Bremen on loan.
Portugal international Silva had played just eight Bundesliga games for his parent club this term, scoring once. “Things haven’t gone quite as planned for André recently. That’s what led to this opportunity arising for us on short notice," Werder's head of professional football Peter Niemeyer said. "We’re fully convinced of his qualities as a player and are delighted that it’s worked out. André has been playing in the Bundesliga for several years now, is able to train fully and we hope that he will be able to quickly integrate himself into our team,”.
André Silva is set to join Werder Bremen on loan for the remainder of the season. Best of luck in Bremen, @andrevsilva19!. Porto have approached West Ham over a potential deal for Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme. An agreement is not close at this stage as there have only been exploratory talks. But Porto are open to signing Guilherme on loan should he be made available. The player, signed from Palmeiras in the summer, has also attracted interest from Shakhtar Donetsk and the Middle East.
Rangers have signed Lyall Cameron from Dundee, in a deal that will take place in the summer. The 22-year-old midfielder has agreed a deal to move to Ibrox at the end of the season. Cameron is viewed by Rangers chiefs as a future Scotland international if things go to plan and he had netted an impressive eight goals and seven assists for Tony Docherty's team this season. Rangers technical director Nils Koppen said: “I am delighted that we have agreed a deal for Lyall to join the club and to continue his career at Rangers come the summer.
