Pete’s family released another statement, sharing via the Eastern Daily Press: "You touched so many lives and leave us all with the fondest memories, which will carry us through the tough times ahead.
Paul Sinha - better known as the The Sinnerman on The Chase - also shared a touching message on Twitter about meeting Pete on the show.
On the show, Pete and one other remaining contestant were caught out by Chaser Paul Sinha with just a second on the clock, making it incredibly close to a rare win.
In a statement released at the time, Pete’s son Ben shared that The Chase was on his dad’s mind up until his untimely end.
