Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is determined to get to the bottom of who has been leaking his line-ups. United’s XI for the Manchester Derby against Manchester City on Sunday was leaked on social media on Saturday night. The news that Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho were missing from the starting line-up was public knowledge well before the 4.30pm kick-off on Sunday.

Amorim said he dropped the two United attackers for purely selection reasons, but the decision drew a line in the sand and showed the new boss stamping his authority on the dressing room. It paid off handsomely, with the away side scoring two dramatic late goals to turn over their rivals 2-1 and hand Pep Guardiola yet more misery.

Nevertheless, Amorim isn’t entirely content, with the leaks irritating him. Asked about them on Sunday, he said: "I know that story, I think it is impossible to fix, you have a lot of people in the club, the players talk with agents, it is not a good thing.”.

The Sun reports that United have launched an investigation into the source of the team news leaks and that Amad and Garnacho have been personally quizzed on the subject. Amorim is reportedly happy that neither youngster is personally responsible, while the spotlight has fallen on Garnacho’s brother Roberto.

Roberto Garnacho is vocal on social media and has been suspected due to the fact that team news has leaked in the past when his brother has been left out of the side. Roberto has denied any involvement in the leaks and United are still looking into what happened on the weekend.
