Warning to women on Bumble and Tinder as thug back on apps after stamping on woman's head

A thug who put a pillow over a woman's head and stamped on her after they met online is back on dating apps within days of his conviction, his victim has warned. Violent Christopher Bolton assaulted Rachel Lynch in a terrifying ordeal which only ended when she ran out into the street soaked in blood taking shelter with a neighbour. Rachel, 24, said she thought she was going to die in the attack.
Bolton, 43, from Uddington, Lanarkshire, admitted the attacks and was convicted of level one domestic abuse charges last week - but walked free from court with 270 hours' community service and a year of social work supervision. Brave survivor Rachel has now issued a warning to other women that he was "back on Bumble and back on Tinder".
On his profile, Bolton brazenly claims he is looking to avoid "controllers" and "nut jobs", Daily Record reports. “He was controlling and violent. I need to warn others about him," Rachel said. “The abuse happened once I had given up my flat and moved in with him. He pled guilty but is trying to sweep it under the carpet. This man is a danger. He’s violent and aggressive.”.
Bolton initially pled not guilty to the attacks, but changed his plea before the trial. Rachel added: "I was surprised by how lenient the sentencing was. He should have got a custodial sentence. “Instead of a year in jail, he got 270 hours’ community service and a 12-month supervision order. I don’t know why that never got put as attempted murder. It was put as Section One domestic abuse. He pled guilty to all of that, physical, sexual, financial and controlling.”.
