What is Ritchie Edhouse wearing on his arm? PDC darts star's sleeve explained

Eagle-eyed fans at Alexandra Palace will notice Ritchie Edhouse playing with a compression sleeve when he plays his second round match at the PDC World Championship this weekend. The unique look was adopted by the European champion earlier this year - and it coincided with a significant upturn in form which led to his first major championship win.
“About six or seven months ago, I got a twinge in my finger and the compression stopped the twinge,” he explained. “There’s no injury, it didn’t hurt, there was just a twinge there. Connor Scutt said to try one of these and ever since I haven’t looked back.”.
Edhouse hopes that his European Championship win this autumn can make every professional darts player believe they can win major championships. ‘Mad House’ upset the odds when he came through to win his first major title earlier this autumn, defeating Jermaine Wattimena in one of the most unlikely major finals of recent times.
For Edhouse, it was the icing on the cake of his best-ever year in darts, where he proved to be one of the most dangerous players on the European Tour circuit at the beginning of the year. His win has seen him jump up to 29th in the world and heading into Ally Pally as a seed for the very first time in his darting career.
Edhouse said: “I always I believe that I can win them, but when you do win a major, it does give you a kick up up the bum to put more work in, because the big one, the Worlds is the one you want to win and now I know I can win it if I put my head to it.
