Social media users were sent into frenzy after Justin Baldoni launched an entire website dedicated to clearing his name amid his heated legal battle with Blake Lively. On Saturday, the actor, 41, published his own site, containing his amended $400 million complaint against his former costar, 37, and her husband Ryan Reynolds as well as a 168-page 'timeline of relevant events' related to their case.
In response to the bold move, fans of Baldoni, who Lively accused of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment on the It Ends With Us set, were quick to react to unseen alleged correspondence between him, Lively and Reynolds. Some of the biggest revelations included an alleged text received by Baldoni from Reynolds, 48, which refers to him as a 'stand up person.'. In a series of texts, shared on Baldoni's site, Reynolds allegedly praised the Jane the Virgin star for being a 'wonderful collaborator' to Lively before things went south between them.
After browsing around the site, many Baldoni fans took to X to state that the evidence he provided seems to vindicate him against a number of Lively's claims. According to his court filing, Baldoni reached out to Reynolds on February 28, 2023 after asking Lively for his phone number. In the alleged text messages, they had a polite and cordial exchange just over a month before Reynolds allegedly swore at Baldoni and accused him of fat-shaming Lively. In April 2023, Baldoni was reportedly summoned by Lively to her New York City penthouse and was greeted by Reynolds, per Baldoni's lawsuit against the couple.
After Lively accused Baldoni of 'shaming her for her body and weight' during filming, Baldoni denied the allegations, which he called 'categorically false,' as he detailed an instance in which Reynolds allegedly said to him in an aggressive manner: 'How dare you f***ing ask about my wife's weight? What's wrong with you?'. Per legal documents, Baldoni claimed that 'the tone from Reynolds and Lively was so aggressive that [he] felt he had no choice but to offer repeated (and completely unwarranted) apologies.'.
