Arsenal visit Wolves this afternoon looking to close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool. Mikel Arteta’s side haven't lost a game in the top-flight since November but have endured their fair share of disappointing draws, dropping points away to Brighton and at home to Aston Villa in January alone.

If they are to stay within touching distance of the table-topping Reds - who have played a game less - then a win against Vitor Pereira’s men is vital. Wolves will not go down without a fight, though, having beaten Manchester United and drawn away at Tottenham during their new Portuguese coach’s short reign.

However, fans who want to tune in and see whether the Gunners can put their opponents to the sword will be unable to do so in the UK, as the match will not be broadcast live. Though Arsenal’s crucial away match promises to hold title implications, it has not been selected by any UK broadcasters, with the fixture pencilled in to be played at the regular Saturday afternoon kick-off time of 3pm.

English football's longstanding ‘3pm blackout’ lasts between 2:45pm and 5:15pm and has been a staple in the game since the 1960s. This means that the north London side’s match will not be aired live. The blackout is expected to remain as part of the football schedule until at least 2029, following the new TV rights package that was initially agreed upon in December 2023.
