"Officers were called to a report that a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted over her clothing by a group of men on Gordon Road at around 2am on Sunday 2 February.
Hampshire Police released a statement saying: "We are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of a sexual assault in Aldershot town centre.
Officers were called around 2am on February 2 to Gordon Road in Aldershot town centre.
"He has been described as being Asian, aged between 35 and 45, between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall, of medium build with black hair.
Cops have released an image of a man they are hoping to question in relation to the incident.
