Woman's battle to remove sticky labels leaves people gripped A woman has been left in a sticky situation after trying to wash her new crockery - only to find herself battling with stubborn labels that refuse to budge.
"In the second picture, I spent 20-plus minutes picking at the sticker, then soaked in boiling water with soap, then scrubbed with a Scrub Daddy for about five minutes and there is still adhesive in the bowl.".
In a bid to rescue the crockery from being tossed out, fellow Reddit users chimed in with various solutions, ranging from WD-40 and cooking oil to white vinegar and even using a hair dryer to soften the glue.
She took to Reddit to share her frustration, detailing how she spent 20 minutes "picking at the sticker" without any success in removing the pesky adhesive from the centre of her bowls.
The oil is going to break up the adhesive, and the soap will break up the oil."
