A major WWE superstar has confirmed they won’t be part of tonight’s SmackDown on Netflix. Braun Strowman, 41, only made his return to the blue brand in December after almost three months on the sidelines due to a torn groin injury, but he wasn’t part of last week’s broadcast.
Now, the former world champion has addressed his recent absence and confirmed he won’t be part of tonight’s show either, which will mark the first SmackDown to air on Netflix in the UK. ‘2025 has been off to a ruff start for me. I picked up some kind of a bug last week and it had absolutely whipped my ass. I laid in a hotel room for four days three with a fever of 102 or higher for the first three days,’ he wrote on Instagram.
‘A week later I am finally over what I think is the hump. My sever body aches are finally easing up. Today is the first day I have been able to move around and really do anything.’. Strowman also revealed he has lost 36lbs – two and a half stone – over the past few days, and underwent tests to determine the issue.
‘I have lost 36lbs in this week. Had test taken and all they could determine is that it was a very bad Flu thankfully,’ he continued. As well as last week’s SmackDown, Strowman confirmed he was also set to be at the Monday Night Raw debut on Netflix.
