MICROSOFT Rewards is a great perk that Xbox and Windows PC players have been taking advantage of for years. Every time you purchase a game, play Xbox Game Pass games, earn achievements and more, you can earn points that can be traded in for rewards. This mostly includes store credit for shops like the Microsoft Store and other big retailers like Amazon.

However, fans have begun noticing that they have been banned from redeeming coupons from Microsoft Rewards for seemingly no reason. There are a number of reasons why your Microsoft Rewards account can be legitimately suspended. This includes living outside of a Microsoft Rewards region, or one person holding multiple different accounts.

If your account was suspended despite not breaking any guidelines, then don’t worry, Microsoft is aware of the issue and is looking to restore players’ accounts. Microsoft hasn’t given a reason why the issue occurred but claims it is working on a fix.

Microsoft wrote: “Earlier today, we encountered an issue that incorrectly suspended some Microsoft Rewards accounts. “We’ve deployed a fix, and any affected accounts should be back online in the next several hours. “Thank you for your understanding as we address this.".

However, this announcement was made on Saturday, January 4, 2025, and people have commented that their accounts still haven’t been restored. Some accounts have been restored, but it will likely take some more time for everyone’s accounts to be fixed.
