Zara McDermott returns to work but eagle-eyed fans have Sam Thompson question

Love Island star Zara McDermott’s fans have voiced a burning question about her rumoured split. Zara, 28, had been dating Sam Thompson, 32, since 2019, but their relationship has reportedly come to an end - and while Zara showed she was moving onwards and upwards in her career, fans couldn’t resist pointing out something they’d spotted on Made in Chelsea alum Sam’s profile. On Instagram on Monday, Zara posted some exciting news about her documentary work with the BBC. Alongside a photo of herself sitting at a table with a camera, she wrote: “First day back at work, doing what I love & am so grateful for.”.
In the comment section, among messages of congratulations that she was back to work in TV, some fans focused on another issue - who would look after the cats she shared with Sam if the split is real. Just a few hours before Zara’s post, eage-eyed fans noticed Sam had shared pics of the adorable felines on his Stories.
“So sad to hear about you and Sam. Hope you got custody of the cats,” one fan wrote along with heart emojis. Another shared: “I mean he had the cats on his story earlier and bearing in mind they’ve both been active on insta they’ve still not actually addressed it themselves.” A third fan simply wrote: “Hope you are okay and looking after yourself sorry to hear about Sam.”.
Just days ago news of Zara and Sam’s rumoured split broke, after a source told the Mail Online: "Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It's been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other.
