Emmerdale are introducing a new character as part of a huge twist. Played by Shebz Miah, character Kammy, makes a notable entrance by stealing a quad bike from Moira’s farm, leading to the finger being pointed at Ross Barton. The young actor said of his exciting new role: "“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. Everyone has been so welcoming and I already feel like a part of the family.".
Viewers will see things get even more dramatic for Kammy when he bumps into Sarah Sugden while struggling to jump start the stolen quad. And when Ross comes over to sort things out, whose side will she be on?. As Kammy and Sarah begin to build a relationship, it becomes clear that Sarah's personality shifts under his influence. Viewers will see Sarah go back to her roots and adopt characteristics and behaviours of a true Dingle. Emmerdale bosses have promised Kammy is set to invigorate the village with his arrival and introduce an element of danger, romance, excitement and above all else, his inherent charm.
Emmerdale producer, Laura Shaw, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Shebz to Emmerdale as cheeky charmer Kammy. Charismatic, with a very playful spirit, but ultimately kind at heart, Yorkshire lad Kammy promises to bring both excitement and danger to the village.”.
Clearly excited to stir things up in the Dales, Shebz added: “I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better job - the character is such an exciting one to play and Kammy will definitely ruffle a few feathers, but he does have the gift of the gab so although he causes a lot of mischief, I think it will be hard not to like him!”.
Meanwhile, his onscreen love interest Sarah, played by Katie Hill commented: “I can’t wait for the audience to meet Kammy - he’s a really fun character and a great addition to the village. We might even see him and Sarah get up to a bit of mischief together… It has been great having Shebz join the cast and he’s been brilliant to work with!”.
Fans of the ITV soap opera were left in shock last week when it was revealed Amy Wyatt, Leyla Harding and Suzy Merton all tragically died in the recent limo crash. Before Amy died, she tried to tell husband Matty Barton about the body she'd seen under the water after she fell through the ice. She told him "Nate... in the water", but he didn't understand.
It seems she was confirming the theory that Nate Robinson was the body discovered in the lake, and that he had been secretly killed when he left the show back in September. This was backed up when a hooded figure was seen watching the lake, and Nate's ex Tracy Robinson was heard leaving him another voicemail just as the camera panned back to the body in the lake.
