YOUTUBE star turned business mogul Emma Chamberlain has opened up about how internet fame has affected her adult life - and why people assume she's still a virgin at age 23. After rising to fame in 2018 for displaying a 'realistic' and 'relatable' lifestyle to her viewers, Emma went on to launch her own weekly podcast series, which won the award for Best Podcaster at the 12th Shorty Awards.

Now, after stepping back from posting her YouTube channel, which boasts 12 million subscribers, Emma is a ambassador for Louis Vuitton and Cartier. But despite her new glamourous lifestyle, the former child star has said people can't shake the image of her as the teen she once was.

According to Emma, many people assumed she "liked girls" because of her more androgynous style; a friend of one ex-boyfriend even went so far as to tell him she couldn't possibly like him. "He actually told my ex-boyfriend why he thought that [I wasn't straight] and it was because I didn't wear makeup and I wore sweatpants a lot," she explained.

"Why the f**k should I have to prove that anyway? Nobody should have to prove sh*t about [their sexuality]," she added. Throughout her late teens, Emma confessed she started to rely more on her personality to get attention from men, hoping that this would lead to something more sexual.

"That's what I became used to but it always made me feel sh***y because I don't think guys are looking at me in a sexual way," Emma said. Even now, the internet star confessed that "trauma" has followed her into adulthood. "Even though that's not so much of an issue anymore, there's a little trauma there," she said.

"I'm also just not a super outwardly sexual person, I never present myself in a very outwardly sexual way, I'm just not comfortable doing that," Emma continued. She added that many people even assume Emma is still a virgin - and it's something she understands.

"I get why they think that," she confessed, but added that it still creeps her out. Emma has a net worth of $22 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. In September 2022, the YouTuber let Architectural Digest into her hippie modern oasis in Los Angeles, California.

According to Square Yards, the home cost $3.9 million when Emma made her purchase. Since beginning her social media career in 2017, she has amassed a huge following for her vlog and other projects. Her partnership deals have included brands such as Hollister, Calvin Klein, Curology, and Audible.

In 2019, she partnered with Crap Eyewear to design a line of sunglasses that would lead her to attend that year's Paris Fashion Week, in a co-sponsorship deal with YouTube and Louis Vuitton. Emma also often serves as a red-carpet interviewer for Vogue at the annual Met Gala event in New York City.

Now in a new relationship, Emma revealed she doesn't feel the need to act or dress in a feminine way to please her man, and is happy just being herself. "I'm fully comfortable now in what areas I'm more masculine because of simply getting into a relationship where my masculine and feminine traits are appreciated," she said.

Despite what some may think, Emma confessed that she had her first sexual experience at 17 with a guy she had a crush on. "It was actually a not bad experience," she said. "It doesn't excite me to do crazy sh*t necessarily,". Despite having a sexual side to her, Emma said her sex life doesn't need to be "this whole crazy thing." she explained.

"I will admit that I enjoy vanilla sex," she added. Although there's a time and a place for more "crazy and fun" bedroom antics, it's "once in a blue moon" for Emma. "It doesn't need to be like that," she said. Emma went on to explain that she doesn't like the idea of having to "perform" during sex, and that it can even be "detrimental".

"It takes away from the intimacy of it, you should just disappear, not think and let it happen and that's it," she confessed. Call Her Daddy has been running for approximately six years, having begun in 2018. As reported by People, the podcast joined Barstool Sports about one month after its first episode debuted.

It was originally hosted by Cooper and Sofia Franklyn, but Franklyn left the show after the pair had a falling out. In 2021, Call Her Daddy left Barstool Sports and joined Spotify. Spotify now co-produces the hit program with Cooper following its July 21, 2021 launch on the digital music service.

Dawn Ostroff, Spotify’s chief content and advertising business officer, said at the time: "We’re beyond excited to welcome ‘Call Her Daddy,’ one of the most wildly popular podcasts in the world, to Spotify. "The level of enthusiasm and buzz from listeners generated after each episode is emblematic of the magic of the podcast.

"Alex connects with the millennial and Gen Z generations while empowering her audience to openly express themselves.”. The show's description states, in part: "In a world prone to snap judgment, Cooper cuts through the bulls*** with every guest and topic, asking the questions you want the answers to.
