Fast food chain announces return of ‘outstanding’ burger and two other fan-favourites

It’s a big week for fast food fans in the UK – Popeyes is launching a new menu, bringing a popular US item over to the UK for the first time, KFC has brought back the ‘holy grail’ item after five years, and McDonald’s has released a new Stormzy meal. And not one to miss out on all the fun, Burger King also has a surprise for customers, as the chain also has some fan-favourites returning this week.

From February 11, three items hailed as ‘outstanding’ and ‘indulgent’ will be available once more on the UK menu. We’re talking, of course, about the chain’s Gourmet Kings Peppercorn collection, which features the Peppercorn Angus, Peppercorn Crispy Chicken and Peppercorn Loaded Fries. The collection was first launched in the UK in 2023, and briefly returned to the menu in 2024, and ahead of Valentine’s Day, the gourmet burgers are back once more.

The Peppercorn Angus features an Aberdeen Angus beef patty, topped with three rashers of smoked bacon, sweet caramelised onions, fresh onion, rocket and a peppercorn mayo, all sandwiched in a brioche bun. On social media, the beef burger and loaded fries have received rave reviews from customers, with David Green posting on Facebook: ‘Put the Peppercorn Angus/Peppercorn Fries on the regular menu. It’s indulgent AF!’.

Similarly, Aimee Maud wrote: ‘Tell you what… Burger King is doing some right dirty burgers at the min!! Peppercorn Angus burger [is] beaut.’. And Kim Bosh agreed, saying: ‘Now that’s a burger! Tasty as f**k chargrilled taste Peppercorn Angus. Burger King are the king of fast food burgers around here!’. John Smith simply thought the burger was ‘outstanding’, while John Dowding claimed the Peppercorn Loaded Fries were the ‘best fries [he’d] ever had… well worth £2 on your meal price.’.

Jimmy Milner proclaimed that they were the ‘best creation of loaded fries’, as Beth Doyle posted: ‘Oh my good god.’. Evan Oliver added: ‘For everyone who has not had a Peppercorn Angus… get to Burger King ASAP. Lifesaver.’. A post shared by Burger King UK (@burgerkinguk). The Gourmet Kings Peppercorn range will be available exclusively on Deliveroo for a limited time, between February 11 and 24.

And it’s not just couples that can enjoy tasty treats this Valentine’s Day, as Burger King has brought back its kids eat free offer from February 14 until February 21. For every adult meal purchased, families can enjoy a free King Jr. meal. As well as this, the chain has partnered with innocent to offer exclusive new juicy water drinks. Burger King is the only place in the world where little ones can enjoy new flavours including apple and strawberry, and apple and mango.
