Katie Price's ex-husband, Kieran Hayler has split from his fiancée. The couple, who share their son Apollo Phoenix, three, have mutually decided to part ways from one another. However, it's said that they remain on good terms for the sake of their young son. The couple started dating back in 2018 after striking up a romance at the school gates. Kieran's children, Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10, attended the same school as Michelle's son, Valentino. Just two years after their first meeting, Kieran got down on one knee during a romantic break to the Maldives. But a spokesperson for the former stripper has now confirmed the relationship is finally over.
"The couple separated on good terms and remain close with their focus first on their son Apollo," a spokesperson for Kieran told The Sun. Despite their split, Kieran once said Michelle was the "perfect match" for him. Kieran was a step-father to Michelle's oldest son, while she was a step mum to his two children from his relationship with Katie Price, who he married in January 2013. However, in May 2018, Katie announced she was filing for divorce – again.
Two years ago they sparked rumours that they were preparing to welcome their second child together. The former couple happily posed with one another in front of a grand chandelier at a stunning hotel but one minor detail had people wondering whether Michelle was expecting their second child. In the image, Michelle was seen wearing a figure-hugging white dress, while Kieran, rested his hand on her abdomen. Many fans took this as a suggestion that Michelle was expecting, but it later transpired that this was just social media speculation.
Kieran and Michelle's split comes just weeks after he and Katie's other ex, Carl Woods, united to hit out at her appearance on a podcast. Katie appeared on Louis Theroux's podcast and discussed her time in The Priory, insisting she never went there because of drug or alcohol abuse. The star first went into the Priory in January 2020 before lockdown, saying that she had slowly been 'going off the rails for 10 years'.
She returned to the clinic as an outpatient in 2021 following a car crash near her home in Sussex. "I was never in The Priory for drink or drugs – ever. It was severe trauma rehabilitation, and I still speak to the doctor weekly now because that’s what I want to do because there are lots of things that have gone on in my past that led me up to that," she said. Instead, Katie claimed that she was sent into a deep depression after her ex-husband Kieran - with who she shares two children - cheated on her with her former best friend of 25 years and her mental health spiralled from there. "I look back now and it makes me sick to think of the way I was. I never want to be in that position again. When I look at my notes from The Priory, I'm like 'oh my God, that was me'. It's hard to believe I was that person and I felt that way. I was so ill and I reflect on it now and how different I am. I know all the triggers and I got rid of the people out of my life who I knew weren't good for me," Katie added.
And now, a source close to Kieran and Carl Woods said it was a 'great shame' she feels the need to 'blame all those other than herself' for her problems. They told the Mirror: "It is a great shame that Miss Price feels compelled to blame all those other than herself for her historical shortfalls. With all the expert mental health she is receiving one hopes she will find peace in due course.". Like this story?
