This Morning viewers were left scratching their heads, wondering why Spin To Win is still a feature after a segment on Wednesday's (January 8) show descended into a bit of chaos. Presenting duo Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were back at it, dishing out the latest scoops when they launched into the seemingly doomed competition just minutes into the programme.

Not even moments in, and the hosts hit a snag after failing to find a lucky someone to win the cash. They tried dialling six hopefuls, but a mix of incorrect passwords and silent phones kept the jackpot just out of reach. Cat kicked things off with an upbeat: "We've got lots of different cash prizes up for grabs from £250 to a jackpot of £1,000.".

While Ben chipped in with a cautionary Keep your phone close we could be calling you in just a moment and it's really important that you answer your phone with today's pass phrase and turn the telly down because it always helps.". Their spirits weren't dented, despite the first fellow, Robert, not picking up. And it was bad news for caller two who answered with the wrong phrase, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The presenters had a go at calling someone else, explaining: "When we dial, you've got to use the phrase. If your phone is ringing now it's us, it's me and Deeley.". Cat quipped: "I think I'm losing my mind." But even with the urging, they struck out and the show just had to trundle on.
