Wheel of Fortune fans were left fuming tonight as they tuned into the ITV show's Christmas special. Graham Norton hosted the festive special of the hit ITV show, with Richard E Grant, Tyler West and Joanna Page all trying to raise money for their chosen charities. The Wheel of Fortune requires contestants to guess well known phrases and words, all whilst trying to raise the biggest jackpot - without losing a turn or going bankrupt.
Today, as the festive special aired, fans of the show took to social media to make their feelings clear about the programme's latest episode. One wrote: "Omg how easy is this show now, I got mince pies before he even picked the letters, actually even my dog got the answer #wheeloffortune." Whilst another added: "It's so boring sorry. #WheelOfFortune." (sic).
Another said: "At least make it challenging #wheeloffortune." Whilst a fourth wrote: "How did he get not get that #wheeloffortune." (sic). Fans of the show were left fuming when they were asked to guess the phrase 'mince pies', which many said was too easy to be a catchphrase. However, fans were left surprised when Joanna Page struggled to work out one phrase which read 'Ding Dong Merrily on High Heels', with fans confused why it took her to get all the letters on the board before guessing it.
The Christmas special precedes as nine episode run of the civilian series, which will kick off in the New Year. Host Graham Norton said of the new series: "I'm thrilled we are coming back for a second series to challenge more contestants to solve more word puzzles and hopefully they come away with even more cash. It’s a game of skill and luck, so you just never know which way it will go and I’m excited to see who can hold their nerve against the wheel.".
