In a memorable episode of ITV's Tipping Point, contestant Clive achieved the show's largest-ever jackpot, winning £20,000. Host Ben Shephard was visibly moved, exclaiming, "Clive, you've done it! I can't believe you have done it!" An overjoyed Clive responded: "I am knocked over! Thank you so much!" Ben said: "Clive, I have stood in front of this machine over a thousand times, the only time that has happened was when it was on a tray that didn't get taken! You have won £20,000 Clive!".
Clive visibly moved said: "I am welling up!" Ben asked: "How does that feel Clive?," whilst Clive exclaimed: "Fantastic!" Fans flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, once they saw the win. One user penned: "Aw nice one Clive on #tippingpoint. Delighted for him, what a guy!". Whilst another wrote: "Well done Clive #tippingpoint".
The winning moment was the last question when Clive was asked: "Which team won the 2019 Super Bowl by a score of 13-3?" Clive answered correctly: "New England Patriots." Clive then secured the grand prize and celebrated. When host Ben asked Clive: "What are you going to do with the money, tell me?" Clive answered; "Well, I'm sure we'll be going down to Aus, we're just going to enjoy it, it's just stunning, I'm overwhelmed.".
Back in October, audiences were left in disbelief as one Tipping Point enthusiast failed to answer a series of seemingly "easy" questions correctly. The popular ITV game show was hosted by Ben invited contestants to tackle trivia for the chance to grab counters to play the machine and bag some cash.
