Suits LA is on the horizon - but will the Suits spin-off be ready to watch in the UK?. Six years have passed since Suits reached its conclusion, bringing an end to the journey of those at New York’s top law firm Pearson Hardman. But there has been a surge in the show’s popularity following Suits dropping on Netflix in 2023, officially taking the title of the streamer’s most watched show.
So it’s no wonder that creator Aaron Korsh put his thinking cap back on and shortly announced that a spin-off entitled Suits LA was in the works. This time set in the City of Angels, Suits LA follows former New York federal prosecutor Ted Black (portrayed by Steve Amell) who now works with some of the most powerful people in Los Angeles as part of his entertainment law firm.
When fans meet Ted though, “his firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career”. The wait is almost over as Suits LA is going to be premiering on Sunday, February 23, on NBC in the US.
Unfortunately, so far, there has been no word on whether or not the upcoming spin-off is going to be airing in the UK. However, given its popularity when Suits dropped on Netflix in 2023, and the fact the show was also released on BBC iPlayer, this does indicate that Suits LA could be available in the UK in the near future.
And when the series does come out, fans will be thrilled to see a very familiar face welcomed back to the Suits universe. Suits’ leading man Harvey Specter (played by Gabriel Macht) is going to be making an appearance in a three-episode arc when Suits LA debuts.
It isn’t clear exactly why Harvey is going to be in the drama but it has been teased that he is there to help “an old friend in need”. But given he has a similar background to Ted Black (Stephen Amell) as former New York prosecutors, it is thought that he is the one that calls on Harvey for some assistance.
Sadly, Macht has only been listed as a guest star and won’t be a permanent fixture in the spin-off. Suits is available to watch on BBC iPlayer and Netflix. Obsessed with Netflix? Get the latest headlines, releases and insider-gossip direct to your inbox with our Binge-worthy newsletter.
