IF you’ve noticed nasty whiffs throughout your home, then fear not, we’ve got you covered. Luckily for you, a cleaning expert has revealed the one household staple that can banish bad odours from your home - and you probably already have it in your cupboards.
Not only this, but it works in no time at all and there’s barely any effort involved - yes, you heard that correctly. So if you often cook with pungent ingredients like garlic and fish or share your home with a pet or frequent gym-goer, you'll need to listen up and take notes.
Thankfully, you won’t need to break the bank on posh cleaning products to say goodbye to wet dog or gym bag wafts, as there’s a cheap kitchen staple loved by experts that can banish unwanted smells quickly. Colby Short, CEO and co-founder of GetAgent, has shared the best way to get your pad smelling fresh - and no, it's not pricey candles or luxury diffusers.
According to Colby, instead of splashing the cash on designer fragrances, homeowners should use baking powder as a deodoriser. Baking powder is a staple that many of us already have in our kitchen cupboards, and it can be found in all major supermarkets.
You’ll be able to nab it in Tesco for only 57p and Asda and Aldi for just 65p. Colby explained: "Baking powder is a great, natural deodoriser. "Sprinkle some onto a soft surface you want to clean, allow it to sit - overnight if you can - and then vacuum it up the next day.".
