Bear Grylls admitted he's feeling 'sad but happy' as his son Marmaduke, 18, heads off on a four-month holiday. Taking to Instagram on Sunday he shared his pride as he revealed that his middle child has been 'working hard' to fund a trip to Asia. Bear wrote: 'So sad but also happy for Marmaduke - saying goodbye to him here in Australia as he heads to Asia for 4 months. 'He’s worked hard in a butchers in London, earned his way and is now going off for his own adventure. '.
The adventurer concluded his post by wishing his son a pleasant trip, and noted that he will be on the road promoting his Netflix show soon. Bear Grylls admitted that he is feeling 'sad but happy' in an Instagram post on Sunday as he revealed his son Marmaduke is heading off on a four-month holiday. On Sunday he revealed that his middle child has been 'working hard' to fund a trip to Asia by working in a butchers (pictured alongside wife Shara Knight).
He added: 'Have fun, stay safe, come home soon. We miss you… Shara and me head home from our BG Live tour and I start the Celebrity Bear Hunt.'. The TV star has been married to Shara Knight since 2000 and the couple also share sons Jesse, 21, and Huckleberry. The former SAS trooper will be heading up the new series alongside Holly Willoughby, and the pair of them will oversee a group of celebrities in the jungle.
Former This Morning star Holly, 43, noticed her co-star's post and was quick to acknowledge it. In the comments section, she left three heart emojis, just days ahead of the launch of their show on the streaming service. Celebrity Bear Hunt is said to be a brutal game of cat and mouse where they’ll be hunted down by Bear Grylls himself and, if captured, face elimination from the show. Show bosses have pulled out all the stops with their latest line-up which features Spice Girl Mel B, Strictly judge Shirley Ballas, Boris Becker and model Lottie Moss.
ALso joining the A-list line-up is Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Steph McGovern, Una Healy, Kila Bokinni, Leomie Anerson and Danny Cipriani. As part of the reality series, hosted by Holly, the celebrities learn crucial survival skills while camping in the Costa Rican jungle, desperate to avoid being caught by Bear. However, as to be expected it was not all smooth sailing and a number of the cast suffered terrifying moments and painful injuries during their time in the jungle.

According to The Sun, former tennis star Boris Becker crashed out of the series in episode one after hurting his knee. Executive producer Ben Mitchell told the publication: 'Boris, after years of playing tennis, as you'd expect, he's kind of ravaged by injury, so his mobility was impaired. 'He jarred his knee and we didn't want him to risk causing any kind of further damage so he was shipped out, which was a real shame.'.
Elsewhere, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen revealed he nearly died while filming the Netflix show. During filming in Costa Rica in May last year, Laurence was among celebrities taking part in a water challenge and was told to leap from a boat into the river.
