Calling all 90s and 00s babies, we’ve got some very exciting news for you. A beloved chocolate bar that first launched in the UK in 1996, but was discontinued in 2022, is finally returning to supermarket shelves. We’re talking of course, about Milky Way Crispy Rolls. Hurrah!.
Mars Wrigley has admitted they made ‘a mistake’ in axing the sweet treat, so will be bringing back what social media users dubbed ‘god’s gift’ and the ‘best chocolate bar ever’. And the cherry on top of the cake? You don’t have to wait long to enjoy one, as you’ll be able to get your hands on it again from February 1, in retailers nationwide.
For those who aren’t familiar with the product, Milky Way Crispy Rolls are a milk chocolate covered wafer biscuit finger, with a lightly whipped filling inside. And for the very first time, Mars will also be adding two new Crispy Roll flavours to the line-up, including Twix Crispy Rolls and Bounty Crispy Rolls.
Fans of the chocolate bar were distraught after it was axed three years ago, launching a petition to bring it back which garnered more than 8,600 signatures. On Reddit, one user joked that they were discontinued because ‘we live in a cold dark universe ruled by uncaring gods’, as another claimed it was ‘hell’ without them.
