Beauty fans have been rushing to Boots to snap up a gift set that gets them almost £100 worth of premium makeup for less than £35. It comes as Benefit has released an exclusive gift set that saves shoppers more than £60. Launched just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Benefit Most Loved Bestsellers Exclusive Beauty Kit costs £34.50, but its contents are said to be worth £96. Saving more than 60% on the RRP, the set stars five of the brand’s most popular products, two of which are full sized.

One of the products inside, their volume-giving Badgal Bang! Mascara is usually £27 alone, while their viral Benetint, which delivers a rosy flush on lips and cheeks, would usually set you back £21.50. The iconic stain was originally created for an exotic dancer in the 1970s, and has since soared to cult status. As well as the two full sized products, which already exceed the price you pay for the haul, there’s also a mini of the Hoola bronzer for creating a sun-kissed glow, alongside the skin-smoothing Porefessional primer and a Brow Setter, ideal for defining and shaping your brows. As part of the offer, each product works out at less than £7 each, making it better value that the retailer's £10 Tuesday sale.

The set, which is similar to the now sold-out Fresh Baked Beauty edit which was popular in the run up to Christmas, is perfect for gifting to anyone already a fan of Benefit this Valentine’s Day. Alternatively, it’s a great way to try out the brand without having to splurge on the full price. The haul and the products inside it have earned a collective four-star average based on more than 1,000 reviews. One wrote: “Really nice set, well presented with all Benefit essentials. Works out much better value than buying individual items.”.

Another added: “Great value for money bought as present for my daughter. She loved it,” while a third penned: “Bought as a gift for my daughter who is a huge fan. Excellent selection of products at a fab star gift price. She loves it, thanks Boots.”. However, some people might be disappointed that not all of the products are full sized, or that they prefer the brand’s Rollerlash to their Badgal Bang. But if that’s the case, there are plenty of other gift sets on the Benefit website well worth checking out. One wrote: “The contents seemed very minimal when opened. I was disappointed with the gift and had to add another small gift to it, in order to make it look decent!”.

In other beauty deals, this Clarins beauty advent calendar is a great way to stock up on high performing products at a more affordable price point - even if you can’t use it as a Christmas countdown. Worth £162, the calendar was originally priced at £95, and is currently cheapest at Debenhams at £57. And at Boots, the No7 Beauty Collection 8 Piece Gift Set has been slashed from £35 to £29.75, despite the contents being valued at a whopping £114. With this markdown, each item averages out at a mere £3.71, and considering seven of the eight products are full-sized, it's a steal, particularly for the more luxurious items.
