Channel 4 has issued a stern warning as six participants gear up for a new series delving into the world of immigration. The show, Go Back to Where You Came From, will see six individuals with strong opinions on immigration attempt to experience migrant routes first-hand. The four-part series, premiering tonight (February 3), will plunge six Britons with firm views on immigration into the lives of refugees and migrants.

The group, which includes a TikToker and a GB News commentator, will kick off their journey in Mogadishu, Somalia and Raqqa, Syria. They will then navigate treacherous migrant routes through Africa, the Middle East and Europe, all the way to the UK. They are set to witness missile strikes up close and the severe overcrowding of camps. Their journey will involve trekking through an African desert, scaling border crossings over mountain ranges, and experiencing the terror of small boat crossings first-hand.

According to an insider, the participants were subjected to "constant filming" and the situation was "dangerous" enough to necessitate "armed security", reports the Express. The source revealed: "Filming was constant for at least four weeks and participants would not be allowed to leave filming at any point - not even for a couple of days. Producers told me that participants would experience the life of an immigrant and would also meet with immigrants in Africa, Asia and Europe trying to get to the UK.".

"This would include going on a dinghy across the channel, visiting illegal camps, and engaging in debates with other participants holding opposing views. They said the show will be dangerous in parts and we will likely have armed security in some of the really bad areas.". Chef Dave Marshall, who is set to appear on the Channel 4 programme, told Nottinghamshire Live: "It's a very taboo and difficult subject to talk about. Once you start talking about it you're either labelled as racist or a left-wing loony depending on what your views are.".

"It doesn't mean you're wrong and I'm right, you've just got different views. I can't say too much yet but I can say I had views and a lot of views were tested - it opened my eyes.". Like this story?
