Iconic British TV presenter Claudia Winkleman may be booked and busier than ever but now she has revealed her surprise next move. Earlier this month, the 53-year-old presenter returned for a third season of BBC’s hit reality series, The Traitors with the show peaking at over 10 million viewers nationwide – with fans already excited for a fourth season. It comes after another successful season of co-hosting Strictly at the end of 2024 (which celebrated the show’s 20th anniversary) and a second season of Channel 4’s musical talent show The Piano (with a third on the way).

That’s not to mention her plans to take over from Graham Norton in a one-off special of The Graham Norton Show at the end of February while the Irish comedian is on tour in Australia. Now, as Claudia prepares for the long-awaited season two of Channel 4’s unique game show One Question – she’s promised to slow down. ‘I’m not doing anything else,’ she said. ‘I’ve been more than lucky and I think that’s enough. I do believe.

– and I’m going to sound like my kids – in gratitude. ‘I’m incredibly grateful. I love Strictly, I love The Traitors, I love The Piano, I love One Question and you won’t see me doing anything else,’ she added, per The Sun. One Question first came out in 2022 and, although it was renewed, there was no update on when new episodes would arrive until now, three years on. ‘I’m completely obsessed with this show and am so happy we get to do it again. No buzzers, no fancy lighting, no hoo haa. Just one question and I can give our brilliant players 100k. Plus there’s sitting down. I’m a big fan of sitting down,’ Claudia said at the time.

The mum-of three – Jake, 21, Matilda, 18, and 13-year-old Arthur – also quit her mid-morning Radio Two slot last year after first joining the station in 2008 with plans to spend more time with her kids. Of course, as well as a fourth season of The Traitors likely filming this summer (applications close imminently), we also have a UK Celebrity version of the show arriving at some point this year.

Everyone from Danny Dyer to Alison Hammond is rumoured to be part of the cast, although Claudia is staying tight-lipped about what to expect. ‘I would really like to tell you everything, but I really mustn’t,’ she teased to Grazia. However, she hasn’t ruled herself out as a future contestant, as she told Vogue. ‘I would love to [be in it]. I’m so desperate to play. They were like, “No, Claude, you’ve got to stand here in your tweed and your Dr Martens.” I was like, “Okay, but I really want to play!”,’ she joked.
