I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Winner Danny Jones recently shared his joy over the fact that the show allowed viewers to see the 'real' him. The singer, 38, was crowned King of the Jungle last month after spending three weeks in the Australian outback and he was thrilled with the positive reactions from viewers.
In a new interview, Danny opened up about how the show captured him at his most vulnerable—hungry and exhausted—and yet viewers still embraced him. Speaking to The Mirror, he said, 'It was just me and my personality at my worst, when I was hungry and tired.'.
He continued: 'So realising you’re loved for your personality was a massive thing. I’ve been protected by "Danny from McFly" as a character, but that’s not the person who goes home and is vulnerable.'. He added: 'What you saw on I’m A Celebrity is the real me. I wasn’t protected by my vocals or my guitar. When I won, I thought, "Ah, people understand me". It was liberating… very empowering.'.

The ITV reality show has also opened new doors for Danny, who is gearing up for a McBusted tour later this year, where McFly will face off against Busted. Despite initially planning to take some time off, Danny admitted that ITV has other plans for him, as he expressed interest in exploring presenting roles.
