Elon Musk's most controversial moments as World's Richest Man attempts to weigh in on UK politics

The world's wealthiest man Elon Musk has kicked up a storm after weighing in on UK politics where he trashed the current government and an ex-ally, adding to a growing list of the billionaire's most controversial moments. SpaceX CEO Musk, 53, made inflammatory comments about Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Labour Party politicians, including a discredited theory that Starmer failed to act against vile sex offender Jimmy Savile during his tenure as director of public prosecutions. In 2012, Sir Keir commissioned a report into why Savile had not bee prosecuted and found that if victims knew others had made similar complaints they might have been prepared to give evidence in court.
But Musk's ire soon turned away from Sir Keir and was focused on former ally Reform UK leader Nigel Farage who previously met the billionaire in the US. There has been speculation Musk would donate more than £100 million to the party, although he seemed to ditch Farage over his stance regarding Tommy Robinson, who he has vowed to block from having in Reform UK.
Today, Musk escalated his beef with the government, asking his X/Twitter followers whether "America should liberate the people of Britain from their tyrannical government." The poll has since been viewed more than 1.1 million times and with more than 107,500 votes as of Monday morning is trending toward the answer "yes.".
