Emmerdale ‘confirms’ unexpected reunion for major couple – but heartbreak awaits

Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) was drowning his sorrows in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale as Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) left the village. At the start of the week, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) discovered someone had sold a story about her to the press. That someone turned out to be Wendy, who was approached by a journalist and blackmailed.
The writer said that unless Wendy gave her stories about the villagers, she would reveal her criminal past. A desperate Wendy then told the journalist about Rhona kidnapping Ivy, and how Ella Forster (Paula Lane) killed her friend when she was a child.
A guilty Wendy then revealed her secret to her friends, which resulted in her losing her job at the surgery too. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video. Up Next.
Feeling terribly embarrassed, Wendy concluded leaving the village would be best. In tonight’s episode, as Wendy left, Bob stood outside and pondered over what his future may look like. He decided to hit the gin as a distraction, but was then found by former lover Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop).
A kind-hearted Brenda listened to Bob, but he misread the situation entirely and then kissed her. Fortunately, while Brenda was shocked, she brushed things off so Bob didn’t feel too humiliated.
