Erling Haaland Man City contract details after signing sport's most lucrative deal EVER

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has agreed what is thought to be sport's most lucrative contract ever - after agreeing a nine-and-a-half-year deal with the reigning Premier League champions. Haaland has scored 111 goals in 216 appearances for City, with 79 coming in 87 league games, and has won titles in both seasons at the Etihad Stadium. While hopes of a third straight Premier League crown are all but over, the deal is a show of faith that the Norwegian can fire City to more silverware going forward.
The deal is understood to be worth more than £500,000 a week. That makes Haaland the highest earner in the Premier League, surpassing the £400,000 his City team-mate Kevin De Bruyne is believed to take home. Those numbers put Haaland comfortably clear of any non-Manchester City player. It's also in the same ballpark at Kylian Mbappe, whose pay packet at Real Madrid has been reported as anywhere from £250,000-500,000 but is lower than the huge sums he earned at previous club Paris Saint-Germain.
Haaland's deal will keep him at City until the age of 34, if he sees it through to its conclusion. According to The Athletic, it is one of the most lucrative deals in any sport - if not the most lucrative - and has seen release clauses from his previous City deal removed.
"I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great Club," Haaland said. "Manchester City is a special Club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters and it’s the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody.
