Horror as tourist posing for selfie is dragged under wheels of oncoming train A tourist was dragged under the wheels of an oncoming train as she posed for a selfie at a railway station in a horrifying accident.
Shocking trackside CCTV footage from Shifen, Taiwan, shows the woman, named only as Michelle, standing at the edge of a platform as a train speeds in on January 20.
Under Taiwan’s Railway Act she could be fined up to TWD 50,000 (£1,235) for endangering passengers and disrupting train services.
As the tourist disappeared beneath the train, a friend who had been shooting the selfie emerges clearly distressed as the clip ends.
Meanwhile last month another tourist was sent flying as she posed for a selfie in Taiwan and also fortunately survived.
